Two updates worth sharing this month: one big, one important if you're an 831 Club member.
We've broken ground on the back nine
After a lot of planning, dirt is officially moving. We're starting with six holes: 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18. If all goes to plan, we're targeting summer of next year to open them for play.
What this means for you in the meantime: pardon our dust. You'll see equipment, stockpiles, and crews working while you're out on the course. We'll do our best to keep it out of your way and keep you posted as things progress.
There's a lot that goes into bringing holes back: routing, irrigation, drainage, growing in turf. We'll take you inside the ropes over the coming months so you can watch it happen with us.
Here's a first look at the 17th tee box, lost in the CZU fire, rebuilt this summer. Turf goes down next.
831 Club members: changes coming to the Basin course
The restoration work means we'll be re-routing some of the baskets on The Basin course over the next few months. We know that's a disruption to your rounds, so we're doing two things to make it right:
No action needed on your end — we'll take care of both automatically.
Share a memory
A lot of you played the old back nine. Email us your favorite memory out there: a shot, a round, a person, whatever stuck with you. We'd love to share some of them as the holes come back to life.
Thanks for being part of this. Restoring these holes has been the goal since day one, and it's happening because people keep showing up to play here.
